Troubleshooting

You see	Do this
"Hub Mail has no encryption key configured on this server"	Create the key file (see the install guides). For the environment variable or odoo.conf methods, restart Odoo.
"…must be readable by its owner only (chmod 600)"	Run `chmod 600` on the key file and `chmod 700` on its folder.
Test connection times out	Ports 993/143 or 465/587 are blocked from the Odoo server, or the host is wrong.
Gmail: authentication failed	Use a Google app password and allow IMAP in Gmail settings.
Reading in Hub Mail doesn't show on my phone	"Allow changes on the mail server" is off for that mailbox (read-only mode).
Images don't load	Remote images are blocked until you click Load images.
Upgrade fails with "could not serialize access"	Pause the Hub Mail scheduled actions, retry, then switch them back on.
Search is slow	Install PostgreSQL's pg_trgm extension, then upgrade Hub Mail.
