Odoo 20.0 or 19.0, Community or Enterprise. Hub Mail installs Discuss, Calendar, Contacts, To-Do and Project for you if they are missing.

Network

The Odoo server connects out to each mailbox: IMAP on port 993 (or 143) and SMTP on 465 (or 587). Hub AI also needs HTTPS (443) out to the Hub AI service. Nothing connects in to Odoo except your users' browsers.

The encryption key

Mailbox passwords are stored encrypted with a key kept outside the database, so a backup alone can never reveal them. You create the key once per server before anyone saves a mailbox password (see the install guides).

Database

PostgreSQL's pg_trgm extension is recommended for fast search. Plan database space roughly the size of your mailboxes' text; five busy mailboxes with years of history used 1 to 3 GB.

Scheduled actions

At least one cron thread (Odoo's default is two). Sync runs every 5 minutes.
